Slip-on flange, also known as SO flange, is a type of flange that slides over the pipe with an internal design slightly larger than the pipe. The inner diameter of the flange is larger than the outer diameter of the pipe, allowing the SO flange to be connected directly to equipment or pipe by a fillet weld at the top and bottom of the flange. It is used to insert the pipe into the inner hole of the flange.
